Nikki Wyartt has been involved in the caring profession for 22 years starting as a night carer specialising in Parkinson’s disease care. In 2005 an opportunity came along to purchase a small independent agency (known as The Daily Care Agency) that was about to close (very sadly, due to the death of the owner). Having taken on the mantle of ‘owner’ numerous challenges – not least having the task of removing the 23 inherited recommendations with a rating of inadequate following the previous owners first inspection from CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection), were faced in ensuring the agency was meeting all the requirements from regulators and that the expected qualifications (RMA Award & Level 5 Leadership in Health & Social Care) were obtained to allow Nikki to be a registered provider. After 3 years all requirements were met and the agency received its first good rating from CSCI (now known as The Care Quality Commission) and has consistently achieved a good rating at every subsequent inspection.

Nikki’s ethos is that good quality dependable care from friendly, kind knowledgeable and experienced carers that have ‘time’ to care is not difficult to achieve. Operating as a small team of local carers, for local clients ensures the delivery of excellent care. Not being one to just be a name on the end of a telephone Nikki also regularly visits clients for their care visits and regularly works with all her team of Carers.

Nikki is extremely proud of the reputation that The Daily Care Agency has achieved over the last 13 years and of her team of Carers, who all take pride in their delivery of care and truly work together as a team. Embracing new technology, over the last 2 years has enabled Nikki and her team to be responsive and reactive ensuring Carers have access to up to date care package information, whilst working remotely in the community.

The one wish I had was to have him home with us as part of the family, it was at this point we were introduced to Nikki and her fabulous team of Carers. His illness has taken so much from him at times, that includes his kindness, calm and gentle manner that we all knew and loved. He has not always been the easiest client, yet the Carers have been consistent in their patient kind compassionate and thoughtful approach. The Daily Care Agency have been a lifeline for us for several years. Initially they provided a couple of hours companionship every afternoon, so my mother’s full-time carer could have a break. Later, when my mother suffered a catastrophic deterioration in her health: and following a frantic phone call from me on a Bank Holiday Saturday, they provided care three times a day for four months. The carers are all professional and efficient and above all they are kind which is so very important. They helped my mother stay in her own home to the end and I can thoroughly recommend them.
